AUBURN — Theresa Lamore of Auburn passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Jay, May 11, 1921, a daughter of Henry and Odile Blanchette. She grew up and attended school in Livermore. She married Leo Lamore on May 31, 1941, and they made their home in Auburn until his passing. She was active in women’s organizations in her early married life.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking for family and friends, playing slot machines and bingo with close friends. Theresa brought up her family of six children on Loring Avenue until her husband’s passing on March 16, 1982. She then spent many years at Barker Arms until she moved to Sarah Frye Home, where she enjoyed her last years.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita James and her husband, Ronald, Anita Guay and Carmen Castonguay and her husband, Richard; her son, Paul Lamore and his wife, Anne; her grandchildren, Mrs. John (Tina) Royea, Jeffrey Page, Mrs. Delia Lamore and Kirk Castonguay; her stepgrandchildren, Emily and Amy; her great-grandchildren, Tyler Poli, Chelsea Poli and Ethan Poli; and her very close and longtime friend, Nancy Ashton.
Besides her husband Leo, she was predeceased by her son, Jerome Lamore on Dec. 7, 2008; and her daughter, Annette Page on Feb. 26, 2009.
The family would like to thank the staffs at The Sarah Frye Home and The Androscoggin Hospice House for their loving care and devotion to Theresa.
