PORTLAND — Gina Ann Bizier, 44, of Walnut Street, Old Orchard Beach, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Sept. 30, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Gina was born in Lewiston on Nov. 21, 1965. She was the daughter of Robert and Barbara Turner Bizier.

Gina was raised in the Lewiston-Auburn and Norway-Paris area. She graduated from Oxford Hills High school in 1984. While at Oxford Hills High School, she was head cheerleader and was active in Key Club, Student Council, and was a member of the National Honor Society. She was active in the Catholic Youth Organization at St. Catherine’s.

Ms. Bizier attended Simmons College in Boston, Mass., and graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy with a dual major in pharmacy and chemistry. Gina was a licensed pharmacist in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Florida. She was a member of the Maine Pharmacy Association.

While in college, Gina worked at Who’s on First at Fenway Park. She was a huge Red Sox fan and also loved to watch NASCAR races.

After college, Gina lived in Marblehead, Mass., and was employed by Walgreens Pharmacy in Swampscott, Mass. She returned to the South Paris area in 1995 and worked for Preb’s Pharmacy. Most recently, she was a pharmacist for Wal-Mart in Falmouth for 12 years. While employed by Wal-Mart, she covered Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and spent some winters working in Florida so she could enjoy the warm weather. She enjoyed her professional relationships and consultations with her customers. Being a pharmacist was not just a job for Gina, it was her vocation. She wanted everyone to feel better.

Gina will be remembered for her generosity, giving to numerous charities. Although there are too many to name, her generosity to so many will never be forgotten. Whether it was supplying her nephew’s and nieces’ sporting teams with ice packs or making donations to buy equipment, she always had her checkbook ready. Another of her loves was the National Audubon Society. She lived on the marsh in Old Orchard Beach and loved to watch the birds, and could identify so many species.

Remembered as a loving daughter, sister and aunt, Gina especially enjoyed shopping. Her numerous trips to New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Florida centered around shopping. And if she had some place to go she always made a detour to check out the shops to find a bargain. She had her Christmas shopping done in July. She was very organized and everything had to be just “right.”

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Gerard and Jeannette Belanger Bizier, and Norman and Josephine Paradis Turner.

Survivors include her parents, Robert and Barbara Bizier, of South Paris, and Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Lisa Ann Bizier Pate and her husband, James, of Saco; a brother, Peter Bizier and his wife, Sandra Grubicy Bizier, of Madison, Conn.; two  nephews, Jonathan Pate of Saco, and Jonas Bizier of Madison, Conn.; two nieces, Katherine Pate of Saco, and Sophia Bizier of Madison, Conn.; an Uncle Raymond Bizier and his wife, Claire, of Grand Island, Fla.; several cousins; and her foreign exchange brother, Carlos Turcios and his wife, Ercy, and their children, Valerie, Kayla and Lisa from Honduras and New Jersey.
