DOI meeting

RUMFORD — St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Parish of the Holy Savior Hall.

Committee members are Chairwoman Dot Benedix, Sandra Martin, Margaret Elliot, Barbara Clark, Janette Blouin and Pat Gautreau.

Fall Frolic

RUMFORD — The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office TRIAD Program will host the annual “Senior Citizen Fall Frolic” day from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at the Rumford Eagles.

The events for the day will include coffee and donuts, lunch, information booths, music, a Chinese auction, 50/50 and nickel beano.

HS meeting

PERU — The Peru Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at the Historical Society Building.

Tables available

ANDOVER — The Andover Firemen’s Association will host a Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Andover Fire Station. Anyone wanting a table should call Elaine Morton at 392-1140.

Quilters

RUMFORD — The Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Rumford United Methodist Chapel, Linnell Street. A demonstration on the “crazy square” is planned. Information on this year’s mystery quilt will be distributed for those interested.

A fall fabric swap will take place and those taking part are asked to provide six-and-a-half-inch squares cut from approximately one-and-a-half yards of 100 percent cotton fabric that has been washed, dried and ironed. Grange dinner

RUMFORD — Rumford Grange 115 in Rumford Center will have a public harvest dinner from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.

Dinner will include corn beef, ham, vegetables and homemade pies. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and under. Takeouts will be available.
