One of the best displays of farm produce, and vegetables, in the local market was seen yesterday at the Farmer’s Commission House, 62 Spring St., Auburn, C. E. Field proprietor. This store was recently opened by him with the purpose of making a market for both producers and consumers in this vicinity. Farmers who have no time to retail their products find a ready market here, Mr. Field taking all they bring in. A line of groceries is also to be added.

The Knick-Knack Club opened its 25th season this week at a meeting at the home of Mrs. Myrtle Campbell, 28 Sheridan Ave., Auburn.
A social evening was enjoyed and refreshments were served by this hostess, assisted by Mrs. Lelia Andrews. Miss Pamela Francis was a guest.
25 years ago, 1985
Citing the city’s marked economic upswing over the past two years, incumbent John J. Cleveland on Thursday announced he will run for a second term as mayor of Auburn.
Cleveland is the only person to show interest in the position with only one day left to file Auburn petitions for the November election.
