NORWAY — Robert Allen Crittendon, 64, of Norway, formerly of Seaford, Del., died Oct. 3, at his home.

Bob was born Nov. 3, 1945, in Wilmington, Del., the son of Lexie Ray and Jewell (Williams) Crittendon. He worked for many years in the DuPont Dacron facility in Seaford, Del.

He enjoyed marine archeology, Native American studies, coin collecting, metal detecting, decoy carving and local history. He was especially proud of his work on the rediscovery of a shipwreck in the Delaware Bay, which was most likely the W.R. Grace.

He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Crittendon and granddaughter, Rose McKinstry of Texas; his son and spouse, Chad Lexie and Catrina (Morgan) Crittendon and granddaughters, Bridgette N., Ashley F. and Caitlyn N. of Texas; his sister, Sallie Crittendon Nealand of Maine; niece, Lisa Gun Ullman of Massachusetts; nephew and spouse, Richard Emanuel Ullman and Mara Nicastro, and great nieces and great nephew, John Leo, Katherine Concetta, and Josephine Taylor Ullman of Maryland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; and his niece, Sara Katherine Ullman.
