VASSALBORO — The St. Dom’s golf team captured their second straight Mountain Valley Conference championship with a pair of wins Monday afternoon at Natanis Golf Course.

In a semifinals, the Saints blanked Livermore Falls, sweeping all five matches and beating them 164-189 in team medal play. Junior Danny Nadeau was low medalist by shooting a match best 37.

The win advanced the Saints into the championship match against Dirigo. The Cougars won their semifinal with a 5-2 win over Telstar. Justin Richards, Mitch Stanley, and Justin Chartier were all victorious for Dirigo. Danny Whitney and Kyle Peterson were winners for Telstar. Peterson was medalist by shooting a 41.

In the finals, no one from St. Dom’s would go down in defeat. St. Dom’s Dylan Rodrigue and Dirigo’s Justin Conant would halve their match but that was as close as the Cougars got. Isaac Reed, Zach DeBlois, Anthony Figoni, and Nadeau all won their matches for the Saints (13-0).

St. Dom’s would take the team medal by a 163-191 score. DeBlois was low medalist with a 38.
