AVON — The driver of a tractor trailer truck was taken to Central Maine Medical Center Monday after crashing and rolling over the vehicle early Monday morning on Route 4.
Timothy Fitch of Wilton was driving an empty 2005 Mac tractor trailer north on Route 4 when he crashed near Country Delight, said Officer Nate Reid from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department.
Fitch was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington by NorthStar Ambulance and later transferred to the Lewiston hospital.
The cause of the 5:07 a.m. crash is still under investigation, Reid said.
The truck is owned by Tracy Gordon of Strong and was estimated to be totaled, he said.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Collins Wrecker.
