FARMINGTON — Franklin Health Child and Adolescent Developmental Pediatrics and the Franklin County Children’s Task Force have announced the start of an autism support group for parents and caregivers of children with autism. The group will be facilitated by Tami Labul, the parent of a child with autism.
The first meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, 113 Church St.
“Tami has been a great advocate for her son. She is an adult outpatient counselor, and has experience with support groups,” said Sandy Richard, coordinator/resource specialist at Franklin Health Child and Adolescent Developmental Pediatrics. “She will be a wonderful facilitator of the group.”
If child care, transportation or other obstacles would prevent someone from attending the support group, they should call 779-2168 for accommodations, said Richard.
