RUMFORD — Russell L. “Rusty” Inglis, 72, died Monday, Oct. 4, at his residence on Grove Street.

He was born in Rumford, July 8, 1938, a son of the late Richard Noyes Sr. and Lila (Morsehead) Inglis. He was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1957. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a private first class. He worked for Sherwin Williams paint store in Rumford and as a truck driver for North American Van Lines and Irving Oil Co.

He was an avid hunter and belonged to the National Rifle Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited. He loved his dogs, “Tilly” and “Cocoa.”

He was married in Rumford on April 11, 1959 to Josephine “Josie” Carey, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include two sons, Daniel and his wife, Linda, of Rumford and Steven and his wife, Theresa, of East Wilton; two brothers, Timothy Inglis of Rumford and Bruce Inglis of Fredericksburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Christopher Inglis, Wyatt Inglis, Victoria Inglis and Gavin Inglis; and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Inglis Jr.
