Every time someone mentions the tea party, I have visions of Paul LePage as the Mad Hatter. That’s the right tea party, isn’t it?

Where but in the upside-down world of Wonderland would a would-be governor of a state known for its natural beauty campaign on a platform to destroy it?

Where but in Wonderland would such a candidate propose to help the economy by letting out-of-state oil and nuclear developers trample on the very resources that the tourism, fishing, farming and wood products industries rely on?

Where but in Wonderland would a would-be governor claim that the environment is something that Vacationland can simply ignore in its rush for a few more short-term dollars?

That must be the right tea party. I wonder who the white rabbit is.
