LEWISTON – Lewiston Middle School gained its first football victory of the season over Poland, 12-6.

Sheon James ran for a 20-yard touchdown in the first quarter for a 6-0 lead. Poland tied it before halftime with a 40-yard TD pass.

Travis Torres intercepted a pass to set up Lewiston’s winning score by Tim Robinson with under three minutes remaining.

Defensive standouts were Curtis Kaplinger, Stone Colby, Elijah Cady and Griffin Morin.

Lewiston will travel to Auburn on Saturday to face the undefeated Falcons.
