JAY – Ski Depot will host its third-annual Rail Jam event at noon Saturday in conjunction with its 15th anniversary celebration.
The shop will be trucking in Zamboni shavings to create four rails for the competition. Competitors of all abilities are welcome. All participants must sign a release form.

Maine Sports Legends to honor Mt. Blue grad
WATERVILLE- Maine Sports Legends will honor a recent Mt. Blue High School athlete as part of its annual Hall of Honors ceremony at noon Sunday.
Amanda Hall of Mt. Blue is guaranteed a $500 scholarship and is one of eight finalists for two awards of $1,000 each. Hall was salutatorian of her class while a member of the field hockey, skiing and lacrosse teams at Mt. Blue.
In addition, 13 regional sports personalities will be enshrined in the group’s hall during the luncheon at Alfond Youth Center. The list includes Bill Haskell, Emery “Flash” Plourde, Jeanette Peters, Dana Hews, David Ames, Donald Dow, Margaret Gillis, Dick McGee, Paula Doughty (a Farmington resident), Maurice Clark, Rita Brown, Art Dyer and Jeddy Newman.
AAU baseball tryouts
