AUBURN — A benefit event for Sandy Barnies of Lewiston will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Barnies, 32, was recently diagnosed with stage 3B colon cancer. There will be raffles and a silent auction, with $2,400 in items donated from local establishments.

The event will also feature a DJ, face painting, balloons, pumpkins and a bake sale.
