There is no place I love in the world as much as my deck in New Gloucester, amid trees, vegetables, flowers and my close (but not too close) neighbors. We are blessed with fantastic natural resources and wonderful people.

As residents of Maine face the future, we need quality jobs, quality education to fill these jobs, and careful stewardship of the natural resources.

It is our good fortune to have David Van Wie in the Maine House of Representatives — a moderate with the education, business experience, public service experience and vision to promote those goals. He proved himself a moderate, cooperative, careful listener, as well as an energetic and intelligent doer.

I believe voters should re-elect David Van Wie.
