NEWARK, Del. (AP) — Pat Devlin threw for 283 yards and Delaware scored 26 straight points in a 26-7 win over Maine on Saturday.

The Blue Hens (6-0, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association) scored on an 11-yard fumble recovery by Paul Worrilow and didn’t allow a point until less than 5 minutes left in the game.

Worrilow’s touchdown came after Anthony Bratton forced a fumble on Tyrell Jones’ 2-yard catch from Warren Smith on the Maine 12.

Delaware later scored on a 10-yard pass from Devlin to Andrew Pierce with 1:24 left in the first quarter and added two field goals in the second.

Pierce also had 96 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries as the Blue Hens controlled possession. Delaware held the ball for 36:50, compared to 23:10 by the Black Bears, who had 81 yards rushing.

Maine (2-4, 1-2) ended the shutout on a 2-yard TD pass from Smith to Justin Perillo with 4:44 left.
