LEWISTON — The Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District has announced Nov. 18 as the election date for the position of board supervisor.

All ballots must be postmarked and returned in self-addressed envelopes or brought to the district office by 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15. All registered voters living within the boundaries of Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties are eligible to vote.

Ballots may be requested by calling 753-9400, ext. 400, or by writing to Androscoggin Valley SWCD, 254 Goddard Road, Lewiston, ME 04240. Also, ballots may be picked up in person at the district office or downloaded at www.androscogginswcd.net.

The Androscoggin Valley SWCD is a legal subdivision of state government. It was established to assist local communities with soil and water concerns. The board of supervisors directs programs to assist individuals, groups and municipalities with their conservation needs. 

The elected candidate will serve a three-year term on the board of supervisors for Androscoggin Valley SWCD.  Inquiries about the election and its procedures may be addressed to Election Superintendent Jane Heikkinen at Androscoggin Valley SWCD, 254 Goddard Road, Lewiston, ME 04240 or 753-9400, ext. 400.
