On a recent trip to Lewiston to visit family, I was pleasantly surprised to hear about the great fundraising effort that is under way to save the YWCA. It is inspiring to see how a community can come together and do great things in the face of adversity.

Thank you to the business leaders and to the families for their very generous donations to support this wonderful cause. The YWCA is a great asset to the Lewiston-Auburn area and will benefit families for years to come.

Even though I no longer live in Lewiston, I am happy to join the efforts to save the YWCA. I hope this campaign is successful and keeps the YWCA open for a long time.
