Between 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, and 7 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, Lewiston police responded to 665 calls for service. Of those, 120 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

The Knights of Columbus at 150 East Ave. was tagged with graffiti overnight Sept. 29 – Sept. 30. “LAB” and “2010” was painted.

An apartment at 263 Park St. had a window broken on Oct. 3 at 11:30 p.m. The suspect threw a beer bottle through it.

Burglaries

An apartment t 178 College St. was burglarized on Oct. 2 at 3 a.m. The suspects appeared to be two teenagers wearing red sweatshirts who gained entry through a window.

An apartment at 15 Wood St. was burglarized prior to 5 p.m. on Oct. 6, an Xbox 360 and games were taken.

A trailer at 7 Russell St. was burglarized between 11:45 a.m. and 2:27 p.m. on Oct. 4. Cash was taken.

A residence at 125 Wellman St. was burglarized sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. Entry was gained by damaging a door lock. A jar of pennies was taken.

An apartment at 125 Horton St. was burglarized between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 1. Entry was gained by carding the door latch; $150 in cash was taken.

An apartment at 108 Pierce St. was burglarized between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 6. Entry was gained by forcing a door. A white 32-inch plasma TV, and Xbox 360 and games were taken.

An apartment at 146 Pierce St. was burglarized sometime prior to 9:49 p.m. on Oct. 3, the interior was ransacked.

Thefts

An employee of 77 Bates St. had an iPod touch stolen from their desk sometime prior to 3 p.m. on Oct. 7.

A patron of the Public Library at 200 Lisbon St. had their cell phone stolen from a table on Oct. 4 prior to 1 p.m.

Vehicle Burglaries

A vehicle parked at 225 Montello St. was burglarized between 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 2 and 8:30 a.m. Oct.  3. A wallet was taken.

A vehicle parked at 245 Montello St. was burglarized overnight Oct. 2 – Oct. 3. An LL Bean wallet and $150 in cash was taken.

A vehicle parked at 35 Pond Road was burglarized overnight Oct. 2 – Oct. 3. A purse was taken. It was later located on the front lawn of 47 Pond Road missing $10 in cash.

Attempted Robbery

On Oct. 1 at 9:34 p.m. a female pedestrian reported that while she was walking on Bates Street near Ash Street, a male subject attempted to snatch her purse from her. She was able to retain possession of the purse and fended off the attacker by punching the suspect in the chest. She describes him as 20 years old, dirty blond hair, scruffy beard. He was wearing skinny jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

Wanted

Dustin Dennis, 25, is wanted on a warrant charging probation violation.

Jesse Folsom, 24, is wanted on a warrant charging failure to appear for aggravated assault.
