Mike Michaud has represented Maine’s 2nd Congressional District well with his solid work ethic and thoughtful manner.
His work as chairman of the health subcommittee of the Veterans’ Affairs Committee, particularly in expanding health care clinics, ensuring funding for the facility in Togus, and in passing a new GI bill of rights, reflects his commitment to Maine’s veterans.
In the important area of jobs, he has worked to secure funding for research and development at the University of Maine in the job-creating areas of bridge infrastructure, deepwater wind energy, tidal energy development, and composites research. He was instrumental in creating the Northern Border Regional Commission to address infrastructure investment in rural parts of the state. And he has been at the forefront of fair trade and tariff issues to protect and rebuild U.S. manufacturing.
I will be voting to return Mike Michaud to Congress.
