This is in response to the letter from Paul Bouchard, printed Oct. 6, “Time for a new voice,” which incorrectly stated that Congressman Mike Michaud has accomplished nothing during his time in office.
For Lewiston-Auburn, Michaud has gotten: a new veterans health care clinic coming next year; $12 million for water and sewer infrastructure; $4.3 million for downtown improvements; $4 million for road improvements; $900,000 for waterfront revitalization; $750,000 for airport expansion; $300,000 for Central Maine Community College; $282,000 for Lewiston-Auburn College adult education program; $97,000 for Public Theatre renovation; $97,000 for Franco-American Heritage Center; $200,000 for Maine DEA methamphetamine response; $725,000 for Twin City police departments to each hire and retain two new officers; $1 million for Androscoggin County game wardens to update vehicles with mobile offices and GPS.
Mike Michaud has accomplished so much for Maine.
Sen. Margaret Craven, Lewiston
