LEWISTON — Harriet A. Hinkley, 93, of 211 Randall Road, Lewiston, died Oct. 6.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 28, 1916, the daughter of Alice M. Goodwin and Carl W. Young. She received her education in Lewiston schools. She married Clarence E. Hinkley of Wales and he died in 1982.
Mrs. Hinkley retired from Knapp Bros. after 20 years of service. She was past mother advisor of Lewiston Assembly No. 14 and past matron of Lakeside No. 60 in Sabattus.
She enjoyed her cottage at Tacoma Lake, crafts, her winters in Punta Gorda, Fla. and her family.
She had two children, Clarence E. Hinkley Jr. of Sabattus and a daughter, Marilyn J. Chipman of Lewiston.
Other survivors are two sisters, Maxine Y. Roberts of Lewiston and Mildred A. Tobye of Beverly, Mass.; five grandchildren, Clarence E. Hinkley and wife, Jennifer, Guy Hinkley and wife, Stacey, of Wayne and Lee Hinkley and wife, Jayme, of Cobbossee Lake; six great-grandchildren, Amber J. Hinkley, Shelbie M. Hinkley, Audra L. Tammaro and Jesse L. Tammaro; a great-great-grandson, Sean M. Collins; and several nieces and nephews.
