Public meal

WILTON — The Wilton Lodge 156, Maine Lodge 20, Jepthah Council 17, Franklin Chapter 34 and Pilgrim Commandery 19 will host a public meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, in the Harland Harnden Masonic Lodge Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton.

A baked ham dinner with macaroni and cheese, vegetables and homemade pies will be served. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12. All proceeds will benefit the Building Fund. For more information, contact Robert Lawrence at 778-2354.

Pumpkin decorating

JAY — The Jay VFW will host a pumpkin decorating event from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, for children ages 4 to 12. All pumpkins and decorating materials will be supplied.

Garden Club

FARMINGTON — Members of the Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Farmington Falls Road. Refreshments will be served by hostesses Linda Brown, Roxanne Worster and Mary McFarland, followed by Carol Chase and Bonnie Brown speaking about “Edible Landscaping.”

Extension homemakers

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Chesterville Town Office. Those attending should come with ideas for program planning.

The group will also elect officers and collect dues. Members should bring a glue stick and glitter pen, if available, to finish the ornament donation for the Chester Greenwood Festival of Trees. For more information, call 778-3156.
