I am a lifetime Democrat who will be voting for Paul LePage and other Republicans in November.
I have read LePage’s plan for Maine if he is elected governor. I urge all voters to do the same. Voters shouldn’t base their votes on television ads and LePage’s flair for the flamboyant.
Maine faces many problems that current officeholders seem unable to fix. We are overtaxed, yet faced with a crumbling infrastructure, an educational system that is failing its students (although I do not blame the educators themselves), and welfare rolls filled with lifetime and generational recipients.
Middle-class citizens cannot continue to shoulder an ever-increasing tax burden.
If people want more of the same, they should vote for Libby Mitchell and her cronies who have put the state where it is.
If voters are tired of the status quo, they should vote for Paul LePage and other fiscally responsible candidates.
