AUBURN — Irene C. Poulin, 75, a resident of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died Monday, Oct. 11, at Clover Health Care, following a short illness.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 30, 1934, the daughter of George and Anna (Labbe) Bissonnette. She married the love of her life, Ronald Poulin, on Sept. 1, 1952, and short time later relocated to Taunton, Mass., where she was employed for more than 25 years for Winthrop and Atkins Manufacturing in Middleboro, Mass., as a producer and distributor of advertising supplies for business.

Following her retirement, she was devoted to her children, especially her daughter, Pauline, who succumbed to cancer just over a year ago.

While residing at Clover Manor in Auburn, Irene developed close friendships with fellow residents and staff.

Survivors include one son, Donald N. Poulin and his wife, Therese, of Lewiston; a niece and caregiver, Diane Biron and her husband, Paul, of Leeds; two grandsons, Donald Poulin II and Steven Poulin; and two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Lillian Poulin.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Poulin; a daughter, Pauline Poulin; two brothers, Ronaldo and Roger Bissonnette; and three sisters, Priscilla Vaillancourt, Jeanne Baril, and Lorraine Landry.
