CALAIS — Jo-Ann Georgette Caron, 61, formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at Down East Community Hospital, after a brief heroic struggle with cancer.

Jo-Ann was born in Lewiston on Dec. 17, 1948, the daughter of Rita (Bell) Dube and Wallace Dube. She traveled throughout the United States supporting her husband and family.

Jo-Ann worked as a professional photographer and graphic designer. She was a woman who quietly made great things happen all around her.

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, David Caron of Calais; sons, Michael Caron and Carol Ann of Merrimack, N.H., Mark Caron and Becky of Dalian, People’s Republic of China and Matthew Caron and Annette of Litchfield; her sister, Louise Gastonguay of Cortland, Va.; brothers, Dennis Dube and Nancy of Lewiston and Paul Dube and Ellen of Paris; and grandchildren, Nicole, Joshua and Alexander.

In addition to her parents, Jo-Ann was predeceased by a brother, Michael Dube.
