LEWISTON — Alice M. Lacombe, 92, of 4 Alec St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Oct.,  at the Russell Park Manor, where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Born in Lewiston on Aug. 23, 1918, she was the daughter of William and Imelda Bazinet Dufresne. Educated in local schools, she was employed for many years as a weaver in the area textile industry, including the Cowan and Bates Mills. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Alphee Lacombe, who passed away on Oct. 28, 2003. A member of Saints Peter and Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, she belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne, Lewiston Senior Citizens, and enjoyed Beano and traveling; especially taking trips to Our Lady of the Cape in Canada. She especially loved her grandchildren and their accomplishments.

Survivors include a son, Paul, of Lewiston, a daughter, Claire and husband, David Lint, of Orono; three sisters; Delima Gagne of Auburn, and Emma Baillargeon and Gracia Dufresne, both of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; Kathleen, Michael and wife, Jennifer, and Timothy Lacombe, all of Lewiston, and Marie and fiancé, Luke Lafreniere, of Alton, N.H., Andrew, Matthew, and Kristopher Lint of Orono; a great-grandchild, Gwendolyn Lacombe, godchild, Anita Grenier; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Alfred, Rosario, Antonio and Augustin Dufresne; and a daughter-in-law, Claire Joyce Lacombe.
