Silent auction

SOUTH PARIS — A silent auction to benefit the Oxford Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School cafeteria. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 5.

There will also be a 50/50 and food will be available.

Jumble sale

PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will host its third annual Jumble Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16. A bag sale will take place from 2 to 3 p.m.

There will be furniture, kitchenware, holiday items, crafts, gardening, books, clothing and more. There will also be coffee, snacks and a light lunch available for purchase. 

Benefit supper

NORWAY — The Norway Fireman’s Relief Association will host a benefit supper for Mike Tibbetts from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Norway Fire Station. The menu will consist of roast turkey, salads, vegetables, rolls, beverages and dessert.

Cost for adults is $7; children under 12, $3; children under 6, free.

Rummage sale

NORWAY — The Youth Ministry of St. Catherine’s Church will have a rummage sale and white elephant table from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, in the church hall on Paris Street.

Donations of usable, winter clothing or non-electric household items will be accepted at the church hall beginning on Oct. 18. The proceeds from the sale will help the Youth Ministry with their activities for the year.

Trustees meetings

PARIS — The Paris Utility District monthly trustees meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at the Paris Utility District Office, 1 Paris Hill Road.
