FARMINGTON – Nellie A. Anderson, 101, a resident of Farmington, formerly of Lavoie Street in Jay, died late Monday evening, Oct. 11, at Pinewood Terrace Assisted Living in Farmington.

She was born on Aug. 7, 1909 in Lamoine, the daughter of Oscar and Ina (Clary) Linscott. She was a 1926 graduate of Deering High School. On May 25, 1932 in Portsmouth, N.H., she married her husband of 31 years, Victor Anderson. He passed away Dec. 29, 1963. She worked retail in the local stores in Livermore Falls and Winthrop, waitressed at Lakeshore Restaurant, and volunteered as Pink Lady at Franklin Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed family gatherings, yard sales, and watching her grandchildren play sports.

She is survived by her daughter, Sally Nemi of Jay; grandsons, Gregory Nemi and his wife, Ann, of Wilton; Richard Nemi and his wife, Noreen, of Jay; and her granddaughter, Sandra Nemi, also of Jay; great-grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Ryan and his wife, Stephanie, Michael, Brad, Katie and Gina.

She was predeceased by her great-grandson, Nicholas Nemi; sisters Madeline Willis, Muriel Robinson, Beatrice Randall; brothers Robert Linscott and Russell Linscott; son-in-law Joseph C. Nemi.
