The American Legion Anderson Staples Post 112 of Oxford presented the colors at the start of harness racing at the Oxford Fair on Sept. 12. The Honor Unit was made up of war veterans, men and women, that included veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan. Tom Young, commander of the Post’s Sons of the American Legion, and Post Poppy Girls, Allyssa Boucher and Brieana Smith, joined the veterans for the presentation.
