RUMFORD — Thomas J. Norris, 66, died Thursday, Oct. 14, at Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Wyman Hill Road in Rumford.

Born in Portland on July 27, 1944, he was the adopted son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Kaladin) Norris, and the son of the late Bernice Peck. He was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1962. He was a member of the National Guard. He worked for Mead paper company in Rumford as an electrician until his retirement in 2005.

Tommy was a communicant of the St. Athanasius-St. John Church in Rumford. He was also a member of the Rumford Lodge No. 862, BPOE, Napoleon Ouellette Post No 24 American Legion, the NRA and the River Valley Riders ATV Club. He was a volunteer at Mount Abram Ski Resort. He loved to ski, snowmobile and vacation in Florida.

He was married in Mexico on May 20, 1967, to Nancy Viger, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include two daughters, Toni Richardson and her husband, Stephen, of Augusta and Tonia DeSalle and her husband, Chris, of Rumford; two grandchildren, Caleb Scott Richardson and Hannah Elizabeth Richardson of Augusta; a half brother, Randy Odierna of Florida; and a half sister, Candy Odierna of Florida.
