AUBURN — Central Maine Community College will host its annual fall open house for interested students and their families from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23,  at its lakeside campus at 1250 Turner St.

Faculty members and student services staff will be on hand to provide information on programs of study, financial aid, the admissions process and options for transferring to four-year colleges.

“We are really looking forward to the open house this fall,” said Betsy Libby, associate dean of student services. “Students will have a chance to see the many recent improvements to the campus, including our new fitness center, renovated residence hall and academic wing, and new high-tech equipment in the electromechanical and precision machining labs. We’ve put together a fun and informative event.”

The college offers career and technical programs that prepare graduates for immediate employment. In addition, the college offers transfer programs that enable graduates to continue their education at a four-year institution.

Students may attend full or part time, and many evening courses are available. CMCC offers on-campus housing and a number of campus organizations and activities. The Athletic Department offers baseball, softball, mens’ and womens’ basketball, mens’ and womens’ soccer, cheerleading, bowling and coed golf.
