VENICE, Fla. — Rosaire Gerard “Duke” Duquette, 88, of Venice, Fla., died Monday, October 11.

He was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Waterville, and moved to the Venice, Fla., area in 1988.

He retired from Bates Textile Mill, Lewiston, after more than 30 years. He then worked at the Casey Key Fish House in Osprey, Fla.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by daughters, Diane Bishop, of Venice, Fla., and Dolores Kellett, of Prince Albert, Can.; grandchildren, Jay Bishop of Lewiston, Serena Bishop of Kissimmee, Fla., and Tadd Kellett and Kevin Kellett, Prince Albert, Can.;and a  great-grandchild, Justice Kellett, of Canada.
