AUBURN — Wallace “Wally” Thibodeau, 82, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at the Hospice House in Auburn on Wednesday, Oct. 13, following a brief illness.
Born in Lewiston on June 24, 1928, he was the son of Philippe and Rose Richards Thibodeau. He was educated in local schools, and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1946.
On July 4, 1946, he married Lucille Bernier. During their 64 years together he was employed by Coca-Cola, was a road supervisor for Humpty Dumpty Potato Chips, and retired from F.W. Webb Plumbing and Supply Co. He spent several years volunteering at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, distributing mail to patients.
He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family, especially his two great-granddaughters, and also enjoyed working outside on house projects.
Wally is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Lewiston; a son, Michael and his wife, Linda, and granddaughters, Monique and Danielle, all of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Janice and her husband, Lionel Pelletier, of Windham; a grandson, Ryan St. Laurent and his wife, Laura, and their daughters, Sophia and Ava, all of Danville, Calif.; a granddaughter, Jill Roberts of Lewiston; and a sister, Norma Paradis of Lewiston.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy, who was married to Louis St. Laurent, and passed away 19 years ago.
