POLAND — Announcement is made of the engagement of Vanessa Joanna Young and Jerry Jon Parlin, both of Augusta.

Miss Young is the daughter of Michel and Barbara Fleury of Poland and Kevin and Michele Young of Northbridge, Mass. She is a 2001 graduate of Poland Regional High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is currently employed at Central Maine Medical Center and Health Reach doing home care/hospice.

Mr. Parlin is the son of Michael and Sharon Kimball of Augusta and Jerry and Carla Parlin of Augusta. He is a 1995 graduate of Cony High School and is self-employed as owner of a garage and used car dealership.

The wedding will be held on Oct. 23 at the Hilton Garden Inn.
