Voters need to think hard before casting a ballot that may hurt the children and the elderly population. Some state and federal taxes help the elderly with the cost of health care, food and housing. Along with helping seniors, taxes fund the public education system.
Libby Mitchell is the only candidate I trust who will balance a budget and cut spending in a way that is fair and compassionate. She respects each Maine citizen, and I am hoping that everyone will unite together to elect her.
In contrast, Paul LePage lacks the compassion and dignity that it takes to be a good leader. I am afraid that the ax LePage is about to drop will have no mercy for the weakest in the state.
