Bridge play
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on Oct. 12 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Linda Leotsakos and Jan Arey; second, Luke Merry and Michael Quinn; third, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; fourth, Roger Labbe and Kathryn Bagwell; fifth, Ron and Connie Reynolds.
Winners in Flight B were: first, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; second, Ron and Connie Reynolds. A charity game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the center.
The club also met on Oct. 13 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Mike and Pat Quinn; second, Claire Lyons and Marta Clements. A membership game will be played at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Schooner Estates. A partner is guaranteed at all local games. For further information, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
Church concert
AUBURN — The Marshalls will perform a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Court Street Baptist Church. Sharon and Bruce Marshall, a husband and wife team from Hermon, travel the East Coast, Canada and California sharing their Christian message through song.
Sharon Marshall holds a music education degree from the University of Southern Maine and has served as music minister in various churches. Bruce Marshall, an accomplished pianist, has served as church pianist. The Marshalls have recorded two albums.
Ticket auction
AUBURN — A ticket auction will be held Sunday, Oct. 24, at Edward Little High School, to benefit the John F. Murphy Homes Life Center and Navigator programs. Doors will open at noon and drawings will begin at 2 p.m.
There will be more than 300 items for auction, including gift cards from local restaurants and other businesses. There will be $2.50, $5, $10, $20 and $50 envelopes, a $1 table and a 50/50 raffle. AUBURN — Members of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Emilien Hamann Unit 11 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave.

OES to meet
LISBON FALLS — Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196.
The meeting will begin with a 6 p.m. ESTARL supper with dishes provided by Pine Cone and Lakeside chapters as well as by Pioneer members. All members of the Order are invited to attend.
Society meeting
NEW GLOUCESTER — The monthly meeting of the New Gloucester Historical Society will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, Intervale Road, next to the Town Hall.
The meeting will be a business meeting. All members are encouraged to attend.
