Girl Scouts

WEST PARIS — Girl Scouts of Maine will host a parent information and registration meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Agnes L. Gray Elementary School.

Girls and adults from the West Paris and surrounding areas are invited to attend the meeting to find out about participating and volunteering in Girl Scouting.

Food drive

PARIS — Members of the Cub Scout Pack 130 from Norway, Paris and Hebron will collect food for the local food bank on Saturday, Nov. 6.

They are seeking donations of canned good and unopened hygiene items. Donations may also be dropped off between 10 a.m. and noon on Nov. 6 at the First Congregational Church on Main Street.

Potluck and meeting

NORWAY — The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Little Red School House, Route 118, for a potluck supper followed by a business meeting.

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Oct. 15 in the Recreation Building on King Street. A six table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in flight A were Dick Allen and Pete Cummings; second, Cynthia Clifford and Claire Lyons, also first in flight B; third, Rosemarie Goodwin and Luke Merry.

Finishing second in flight B were Hazel Glazier and Priscilla Rooth, also first in flight C; third, Penny and Bob Thomas. Finishing second in flight C were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr; third, Denny Raymond and Hank Sakrison.

Boiled dinner

HEBRON — The Hebron Community Baptist Church will host boiled dinners from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 and Dec. 4, followed by a hymn sing in the church.

The menu will include boiled ham, potatoes, cabbage, carrots, onions, turnip and beets. Desserts will change each month. The cost is $7.
