WILTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host a free “Essentials of College Planning” workshop at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Wilton Career Center, 865 U.S. Route 2 East.

Fuel fund benefit

LIVERMORE FALLS — Musician Martin Swinger will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at Murray Hall. Admission is $2 for children, $5 for adults and $15 maximum for family. Proceeds will benefit Tri-Town Ministerial Fuel Fund.

Annual meeting

FARMINGTON — The Western Mountains Alliance will hold its annual meeting from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the University of Maine at Farmington. Authors Bill Roorbach and Bob Kimber, and entrepreneur Jim Brochu will tackle the question “Why Western Maine?” Refreshments will be available.
