PARIS — In honor of Fire Prevention Month, members of the Paris Fire Department will visit the Paris Public Library’s weekly preschool story time, with a fire truck, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21.

The firemen will display and discuss the special clothes and equipment they use to combat fires and to respond to many other emergencies in the community. Besides the visit, the program will include stories about what children should to do in case of a fire.

The story time is free and open to all children in the community.
