ELLSWORTH — The Maine Community Foundation’s Community Building Grant Program, its largest competitive grant program, has a new application deadline. Starting next year, the program will go from two deadlines to a single deadline of Feb. 15.

The Community Building Grant Program awards grants of up to $10,000 to nonprofits through 12 county and regional funds and a statewide pool. The program supports new projects and helps nonprofits increase their ability to deliver services.

Organizations that were awarded grants in the May 2010 cycle are eligible to apply for funding in February of 2011.
