I will be voting to send Laura Ordway to Augusta to represent the people of Senate District 13 in Western Maine.

She is, above all, willing and capable of true nonpartisan politics. How refreshing would that be? She listens to all viewpoints, is extremely well-informed on issues, and makes real connections with the people she meets in thousands of dooryard visits in western Maine households.

She knows how to work collaboratively through her management of a large boys’ summer camp in Bridgton, her work on the SAD 61 school board, and from her training as a wilderness guide.

Those who have met her can’t help but be impressed with her interest and engagement with what is important to them.

She is eager to work with all legislators, not just one party, to activate solutions. We need Laura Ordway’s fresh energy and nonpartisan skills working for us.

Time for a change.
