WARWICK, R.I. — Aline R. (Deschene) Deis, 74, of Warwick passed away Monday, Oct. 18, at home.

She was born in Brunswick, a daughter of the late William and Yvonne (Michaud) Deschene.

Ms. Deis was an office manager for Providence YMCA for 17 years, retiring in 2000. She was an avid reader and had a great sense of humor and wit. She took great pride in caring for her family and was devoted to the care of her pets.

She was the beloved mother of Nancy L. Calenda and her husband, Dr. Alexander Calenda, of East Greenwich, R.I., Erica A. Deis-Colpus and her husband, Derek, of Bourne, Mass., and the late Deborah U. Deis; loving grandmother of Michele and Dominique Deis and Alexander III and Brandon Calenda; cherished great-grandmother of Jack Davis Holmes; caring sister of Paul Deschene of Lewiston; and the late Nancy Deschene.
