LEWISTON — Fiddle-icious, a lively orchestra of musicians, will bring its trademark toe-tapping music to the Franco-American Heritage Center on Sunday, Oct. 31.
Members play fiddles, guitars, flutes, banjos, tin whistles, accordions, cellos, violas, mandolins, harps, stand-up bass and other instruments. They perform under the direction of Don Roy, a master fiddler from Gorham. Roy’s wife, Cindy, provides accompaniment on piano.
The group’s repertoire of Quebecois, Acadian, Scottish and Irish traditions includes reels, jigs, aires, marches, hornpipes, waltzes, step dancing and singing. The music is scored for beginners up to advanced players.
“Fiddle tunes live only as long as they are played and passed on. Fiddle-icious brings life to traditional music, but beyond that we celebrate the friendships and sense of community that have developed,” Roy said.

The concert will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $14, $12 for students and seniors. Call 689-2000 or visit www.francoamericanheritage.org. The Franco center is at 46 Oxford St.
Fiddle-icious will also perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Orion Performing Arts Center at Mt. Ararat Middle School in Topsham. Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors.
