FRYEBURG — A Fryeburg man came home Wednesday night to find three people carrying goods out the door, according to Fyreburg police. The homeowner, Elbridge Russell of Fryeburg, chased three suspects down the road after they tried to drive away.

Police say Russell called police while driving as he chased the suspects around the area. The chase ended in Hiram on Sebago Road near the intersection with Hancock Avenue, where Maine State Police stopped the suspects’ car, a Hyundai Elantra, according to a press release from the Fryeburg police.

Fryeburg police arrested Eric Morabito, 38, of Buxton, Jason Sanborn, 33, of Saco, and Misti Lee Sanborn, 30, of Saco and charged them with burglary. All three were brought to the Oxford County Jail.

Police say Russell identified the three suspects in the car as the people he’d seen leaving his house.

According to Oxford County Jail records, Jason and Misti Lee Sanborn are married. Marabito and Misti Lee Sanborn are listed as unemployed; the jail lists Jason Sanborn as disabled.

The suspects arrived at the jail at about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.  Bail was set at $500. Morabito was released on bail at 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Maine State Police, Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Fryeburg Police Department and Maine Warden Service responded to the call.
