L/A Arts Gallery 5 will offer a free artist talk on Friday, Oct. 22, featuring three artists with works in “Plein Air: Works Painted on Location!,” a guest exhibit organized by the Western Chapter of Plein Air Painters of Maine. They are Joyce Coyne, who works primarily in watercolors, painting private gardens and doing commissioned work of gardens and house portraits; Anastasia Gatto, a painter whose passion is pastels and who does landscapes as well as life drawings, portraits and wildlife; and Scott Hunter, whose painting style varies from impressionism to realism, working in acrylics, watercolor, and pen and ink. An example of Coyne’s work, above, is titled “Mountainview.” The talk will run from 6 to 7 p.m. at Gallery 5 at 49 Lisbon St., Lewiston. Reservations urged; call 782-7228.
