AUBURN — Gloria McDaniel, 68, formerly of Livermore, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Hospice House, with her family by her side.
She was born in Livermore Falls, Nov. 28, 1941, to Robert and Gertrude (Robinson) Goding. She lived in the Livermore area most of her life until the last year she resided at the Sandy River Center for Healthcare in Farmington.
She was educated in Livermore Falls schools, graduating with the class of 1960. She married L. Blaine McDaniel in 1959. Gloria and Blaine shared 39 years of marriage before his death on April 22, 1999.
She worked throughout her life at shoe factories in the area and later years at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home in Canton. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed spending winters with Blaine at their home in Avon Park, Fla. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two sons, Kevin McDaniel and his wife, Doreen and Lee McDaniel and his wife, Patty, all of Livermore; a daughter, Lorna (McDaniel) Chavez and her husband, Asencion, of Livermore Falls; 10 grandchildren, Allan Richards and his wife, Mary, Neil, Ashley, Scott, Whitney and Zachary McDaniel and Nina, Michael, Peter and Bryce Chavez; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Morgan and Megan; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a close cousin and friend, Marilyn Dubord.
She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Robert Goding; and sisters, Roberta McDaniel and Donna Tice.
