A request from Mac’s Variety Inc.,  220 Court St., to enlarge its lawfully nonconforming building is among four appeals to be heard by the Auburn Zoning Board of Appeals Tuesday night.

The owners of Mac’s, a store located in the general business zone, want to construct a rear-door vestibule and a cooler, which would extend beyond the existing rear building line.

A  variance is required because the zoning ordinance specifies that nonconforming, nonresidential buildings may not be extended or enlarged otherwise.
