LEWISTON — Theresa H. Spickenreuther, 96, resident of Montello Commons in Lewiston, died Monday, Oct. 18, at her residence following a long illness.

She was born July 17, 1914, in Auburn, a daughter of Robin and Clara (Marston) Dow. She was educated in Auburn schools.

Theresa owned and operated Tiny Gift Shop in Lisbon Falls for 30 years and passed the business on to her son following her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, traveling, doing crossword puzzles and tending to her gardens.

Survivors include two sons, Robert and his wife, Ann Spickenreuther, of Lisbon Falls and John and his wife, Kim Spickenreuther, of Peoria, Ariz.; a sister, Blanche Levesque of Winthrop; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John G. Spickenreuther in 1988; a daughter, Judith Ann Caron in 1992; and two brothers, Russell Leroy Dow and Kenneth Dow.
