Andre L’Heureux of Hartford, a member of the class of 2014 at Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y., was awarded the Presidential Scholarship during the college’s fall academic convocation.

The Presidential Scholarship is awarded based on rank in secondary school class, overall academic achievement and test scores. It is valued at $72,000 over four years.

L’Heureux is majoring in biology. He is the son of Robert and Patricia L’Heureux.
