LEWISTON — On Saturday, Oct. 30, rock band Flashback will fill the Franco-American Heritage Center’s newly renovated Heritage Hall with “White Rabbit,” “Crimson and Clover” and other hits that topped the charts in the late 1960s and early ’70s.
The multimedia dance party will begin at 9 p.m., with a cash bar and doors opening at 8 o’clock.
Band members are Steve Grenier, guitar; Arthur Melendy, piano; Todd Corey, bass; Nate Telow, guitar; Remo Lefebvre, vocalist; and Randy Donovan, drums.
Grenier plays in several local bands including the L-A Harley Band. He also owns and operates an instrument repair center and is authorized by Fender guitar as a warranty service technician.
Melendy has been teaching privately for more than 20 years and currently plays keys with the L-A Harley Band. He is also a member of the Portland-based band The Waiters. He and Grenier co-own Main Street Music Lessons and Instrument Repair in Auburn.
Telow currently lives in Boston, making a living as a guitarist and owner of Foundation Fitness, a personal-training company. While attending Berklee College of Music, he received the prestigious Guitar Department Achievement Scholarship, and performed with artists from Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler to jazz singer Diane Reeves.
Donovan, who has toured the Northeast with many bands, currently owns a small project studio and is proprietor of The Music Garage in Lewiston. He has worked with and opened for many performers, including Rick Deringer, John Caferty and the Beaver Brown Band, Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, Southern Rock Allstars and Steel Pulse.
Corey of Minot has played in The Glenlivet Band, The Mark Miller Blues Band, The Rick Graham Band and Krome. He has worked with many national acts as a sound engineer/technician and plays with the L-A Harley Band, Broad Street Band and Steve & Remo.
Lefebvre, a singer with no formal training, has honed his craft in many a local band, ranging from hard rock to acoustic blues and folk music. His musical talents include singing, song-writing and playing guitar.
